Air to heat pump technology. |
Is a total heating and hot water system based on heat pump technology. It represents a flexible and cost-effective alternative to a fossil fuel boiler, with a cooling option. Its energy efficiency characteristics make it an ideal solution to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
Heat pumps heat up to 5 times more efficiently than a traditional heating system based on fossil fuels or electricity. By making use of the heat in the outside air, you use much less energy while still enjoying a stable and pleasant level of comfort they work without oil, gas or other hazardous substances – reducing potential risk that goes together. Moreover, you don’t need a gas connection or a fuel tank so no risk of intoxication, smell or pollution from leaking tanks. If you already have a heating system, there is no need to change it all. No digging or excavation works are required. Both the outdoor and indoor units are compact. The external unit can be located easily outside any building, including flats.
66% to 80% free of charge
Heat pumps work much more efficiently and save more energy than a traditional heating system based on fossil fuels. With 1kw of electricity consumption generating 3 to 5kw of free heat. That’s an investment that pays.
The UK Government has already reduced VAT on air source heat pumps to just 5% for domestic installations. |

Solar Thermal Heating
Solar Heating can work as efficiently in the UK by using indirect solar radiation not just direct sunlight, it can provide 50-70% of annual domestic hot water requirements. You will not only be reducing carbon emissions, but helping to conserve the world’s diminishing supplies of gas and oil this will help reduce the impact of rising prices and by installing a good solar system add value to your property. The boiler runs less giving longer life expectancy. |

Financial incentives
The Low Carbon Buildings Programme funded by the Government encourages homeowners to apply for grants of up to £400 to assist with installing a solar domestic water heating system see www.lowcarbon.org.uk, in addition to this J S Tams Ltd are accredited heating professionals therefore VAT can be reduced to the lower rate of 5%.
Our BPEC qualified engineer will be able to advise and assess the suitability of your property for installing a solar system.
We are qualified to fit all current solar systems on the market and are also a Valliant Accredited Solar Installer and are listed on their website.
